The Apple IIgs is the first computer my family owned as a kid. I believe we got it sometime in 1987, and was the WOZ Limited Edition. I remember playing "Wings Of Fury" for hours trying to beat the game. I never quite succeeded, but I had a lot of fun trying. PrintShop was used often as well to create banners for birthday parties, X-Mas Cards, Birthday Cards, etc. We also received copies of many of the MECC software titles as well. One of my favorites later on was Mystery Mine Cave. I also enjoyed playing "Math Blaster."
I still have my original IIgs from I was a child in my collection. It gets used from time to time, and my son enjoys playing some of the same games I did! We added a floppyemu to it a few years ago to make switching between software titles much easier.
